Hovercraft
for Hire is one of only a few hovercraft hire companies to be run by
experienced and competitive hovercraft racing drivers.
This family business was
founded in 1997 by Jeremy Kemp, a hovercraft racing driver with success
at national and international levels. As a director of the Hovercraft
Club of Great Britain Ltd, Jeremy also spent many years organising both
fun and competitive events on behalf of the national organisation for
sporting hovercraft - experience he put into developing the services
offered today.
Now run
by Jeremy’s son David, Hovercraft for Hire continues to offer the best
in experienced instructors and a friendly, first-class service. David
began racing in 1983, aged just 12, and has been British, European and
World Champion. Utterly passionate about hovercraft, David continues to
provide much of the tuition himself. He is assisted by a team of
hand-picked instructors who also have many years of racing or technical
experience and share the same love of hovercraft.
The
whole team is enthusiastic, professional and dedicated to ensuring you
have an enjoyable day out. |

OUR HOVERCRAFT
Hovercraft for Hire operates
the time proven Eagle F2 503 hovercraft, a design well known in the
sport for being a fast but stable and controllable hovercraft. Hundreds
of these fibreglass hulls have been produced over
the years and with the Rotax 503 50hp microlight
engines installed, these machines are capable of speeds in excess of 30
mph. The simple throttle and steering controls allow the hovercraft to
be manoeuvred with surprising accuracy.
The
Eagle hovercraft are built to satisfy the Hovercraft Club of Great
Britain’s stringent safety construction regulations and are given an
annual check by one of their appointed scrutineers
to ensure they are fully compliant to the latest
requirements.
Regular
servicing and maintenance helps to keep our hovercraft in good working
order and over the years we have a proven excellent reliability record. |
